Strata was founded inside an industrial energy business with assets on two continents, out of a problem we had ourselves: enormously valuable operating data, and no acceptable place to run a model on it.
We started by trying to buy this. We could not find it. Every vendor was either a shared endpoint with a privacy policy, or a hardware integrator quoting a two-year capital project and no software. In Europe the problem was worse, because the credible options were all operated by companies reachable under United States law.
So we built it on infrastructure we already owned, for a customer we already understood, and then opened it to institutions with the same problem.

This is an uptime business before it is a software business. The group has run critical infrastructure for industrial customers, in two regulatory regimes, for years.
Strata does not publish a corporate headquarters address while the operating and entity structure is being finalized. Site locations are Fredericia, Denmark and the Midland–Stanton area of West Texas.
